Ruckus introduces two new wireless access points

 

Ruckus, the pioneer in the wireless sector, launched two new wireless access points that double Wi-Fi performances, in June 2016.

Ruckus Wireless, an American company specialized in carrier-class Wi-Fi products and technologies, launched two new APs: Ruckus ZoneFlex T710 AP and Ruckus ZoneFlex R510 AP last June. These access points will allegedly double the Wi-Fi client density and data rates of previous generations. (more…)

Germany plans to ease its restrictive Wi-Fi rules

According to the Wi-Fi growth map, the top 3 connected countries in the world are France, with more than 13 million hotspots, followed by U.S, with more than 9.8 million, and the UK, with 5.6 million. However, when it comes to public Wi-Fi, Germany is referred to as a “Hotspot Desert”. According to a 2014 study by the Internet group Eco, there are only two hotspots for every 100,000 German residents.

How to create new networks by recycling old hardware

 

At Tanaza, we strongly believe in giving your old hardware the opportunity to be useful, even after it has become obsolete.

In this throw-away society, technologies and systems quickly become obsolete. Although some systems are not always worth saving, this is not true about all deteriorated technology. Just because a system is old, it does not mean that it cannot still be put to good use. Out-dated does not always mean inoperative. Some devices, like routers, can be easily upgraded to function as if they were as good as new, regardless of its age-old hardware.

German churches offer free Wi-Fi via “Godspots”

 

The majority of protestant churches in eastern Germany will be getting access to the free Wi-Fi via hotspots called “Godspots”, by next year.

In honor of the 500th anniversary of German theologist Martin Luther’s Reformation, the Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Oberlausitz (EKBO) church introduced a project for the expansion of Wi-Fi coverage in churches throughout eastern Germany. The project has been rolled out to 220 churches of Berlin, and 3,000 more will be getting “Godspots” by May 2017. (more…)
